What is BMI?

Imperial: BMI = 703 × weight (lb) ÷ height (in)². For example, 154 lb and 69 inches gives 703 × 154 ÷ (69 × 69) = 22.7.

BMI categories for adults

Underweight: below 18.5. Normal weight: 18.5 to 24.9. Overweight: 25 to 29.9. Obese: 30 and above.
